When I was a kid, my dad used to take me skating at a local outdoor rink and although I was not very good, I loved the feeling of being on the ice. From those early days of learning to skate, I moved to three years of rec and middle school hockey with mostly boys. Last year, I jumped into travel and was the youngest player to make my girls U19 AA team at age 14. Each year, my love for the game has grown and I'm inspired by the idea of playing at the next level after high school.
I'm so grateful for the relationships I've developed over the years with my teammates who share my love of the game. I've learned from many coaches, whose feedback has shaped my game. Regardless of level, I've enjoyed my experiences with different teams, clinics, camps, and programs. I've even earned a referee certification and volunteered at developmental clinics. All of this shaped me into the player, and the person, I am today.
I'm looking for a college program that will enable me to continue to grow and develop in both hockey and in life.
