Yulianna Krol '25 Recruiting Profile

      Hi, I am Yulianna, “Yuli” for short and I love sports and competition. As long as I remember myself, I wanted to do athletic stuff and my ability to play a sport has always been present since I was a little baby. As a child I was frequently complimented by complete strangers on my abilities. Even though being athletic comes naturally to me, my competitive side compels me to push myself to be the best that I can be. I've fallen in love with figure skating at the age of 4 and in 2nd grade transitioned to ice hockey (currently on NJ Bandits 16U AA Elite). 

      My favorite thing about sports is being part of a team. My team are my friends and my family and I always put them before myself when they need me. I am a very social person who loves to put smiles on people's faces. Hockey is a huge part of my life but I have other hobbies as well: I like expressing my Russian/Ukrainian/Jewish heritage with my friends and extended family. I am fluent in Russian and love to cook all the delicious Ukranian food. I love to travel and going to Israel for my Bat Mitzvah was my favorite trip of all time! I also really enjoy playing clarinet for my school's orchestra, and in my free time I love playing my guitars (acoustic and electric) and drums. I also enjoy Alpine skiing, Mountain biking and camping. 

         In school, I work hard academically and always feel confident in the subject that I’m learning in class. With a high GPA and well rounded classes, I'm always looking forward to learning about new things. I have a great memory which is why I’ve always been the person who knows their general knowledge and random facts that most people wouldn’t know, specifically about animals, geography, and history since I enjoy watching documentaries about them.          I think I would be a perfect fit for your school because I know you are looking for diverse individuals and not just someone to put scores on the board. I look forward to college not only to have new experiences, meet new people and make new memories but also to leave a mark on the world. I want to pursue higher education after undergrad and become an attorney one day. I would also love to give back one day and coach the next generation of fearless and fierce girls.
