Ever since my discovery of hockey at the age of 7, it has led to one of the most influential and significant impacts in my life. Hockey has taught me countless traits in life like, patience, discipline, leadership, time management, and most importantly the importance of hard work. It has been my dream to play ice hockey at the college level ever since I laced up my skates for the first time.
As well as for hockey, I take my Academics very seriously and understand the importance of school. I am a very hard working and conscientious student in school, that will drive for success. Like most passionate hockey players, I have always managed balance between hockey, school, and self interests. Before beginning my club career, I understood the tough choices I would have to make to fit everything on my schedule, but I knew I would be able to do it and I never shied down from the challenge.
On the ice, I am a hardworking two-way winger, that has the ability to play center when needed. I led my team in points and goals, with 24 goals and 11 assists in 18 games, for a total of 35 points. I believe the way I see the ice and create plays, can lead me to success at a team level. During the season of 2021-2022, I made history as the First Female Freshman to ever make the Roxbury Varsity Boys High School Team. This accomplishment not only brought me the joy of achievement, but the hope that other young girls see that they are capable of anything they put their mind to and work for.
Away from the rink, I am a Lacrosse player and at the position of Midfield and Attack. In College, I plan to study Communication (Specifically Sports Communication, Sports Broadcasting, or Sports media), despite the fact that I will learn new things and may change my focus.
I have worked extremely hard to get myself where I am in my athletic, academic and personal career, but I am nowhere near the end. I realize the commitment, dedication and responsibility required at the college level, and I am hopeful to start my career soon enough.
