After stepping on the ice for the first time as a 3 year old I've always dreamt of going to the olympics. Once I hit 12U and switched over to all girls hockey my major goal has been to play college hockey. While developing as an athlete in the sport, I have also developed as a person who leads on and off the ice. I'm glad to say that this sport has built my character making me into what I am today.
On the athletics side I have been known to always being open to playing any position to help the team. For example, a teammate was injured right before states in the 2019-2020 season and I made the switch from left wing to left defense to even out numbers and play her position. For the last 2 teams I've played on I was the team leader for dryland training and on-ice warm-ups. Another attribute I have is my coachability. Many of my coaches, for all sports, have mentioned how quickly I pick things up and how hungry I am to get better. Academics for me are very important which is one reason why I have the desire to be a chemistry teacher. I have taken the extra steps of enrolling in college courses during high school as well as scheduling to take an AP class my senior year to help advance my education during high school.
