I am well known for and always have a smile on my face, whatever the task, sport or competition I am participating in. As a player, I am a "Power Forward" type who works hard in all zones of the ice. I am a strong skater, strong along the boards and in the corner, good passer and I have a good shot I can get away quickly. In open ice I have good speed and I am very hard to catch and given a scoring opportunity I can bury it! In my first season in the PWHL I finished 3rd on my team in special teams points, 5th in goals and 6th in points in league play and I am relied on in all situations. I am a very good team-mate and I like to lead by example with my strong work ethic on and off the ice. I ensure to keep focused on what my coaches are teaching me with respect to both offensive and defensive strategies and tactics and I continue to learn more and improve as a player with every practice and game. In the off season I am committed to ongoing skating proficiency as well as shooting, stick skills and working out to become as fit and strong as I can be.
Away from hockey, I am a focused, responsible student and I get along well with all of my class-mates, teachers and varsity coaches. I have some really great friends both at school and at hockey who are really important to me and I feel help to keep me balanced as does my family of course. I really love many school sports but I can only afford the time to play for a limited number which include hockey, rugby, flag football and I used to love track and field too. During my time at Eastview Secondary School I have been formally recognized in both hockey and rugby for my high level of play and I am sure these sports help me with being a well rounded athlete and person. Also helping to round me out as a person, I like to help with summer hockey camps in the area and I have recently applied to volunteer at Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie, Ontario.
