Throughout my hockey career, I have had many successes but also many failures. Early on, I played for a coach who is in the Hockey Hall of Fame, where my team came second in provincials once and won provincials twice. Although my career started on a high, the past few years have been a challenge. Although my team has worked very hard, it has not been showing on the scoreboard. By playing on teams that were once ranked high, to recently playing on a team that went 0-22 I have become a well-rounded player, who has been through many situations. Throughout my years in school, I have come to be very passionate about achieving high marks. I attended a sports academy school for grade seven and eight and graduated as class valedictorian. As for high school, I was accepted into a self-paced school, where I learn the material at my own pace. This has taught me to be very independent and work on my time-management skills. I like to consider myself as a leader on the ice and in the classroom and have had the pleasure of wearing a letter on my team for the past five hockey seasons.
