Alex Keith '22 Recruiting Profile

        I've been a hockey player since I was 4 years old and a full time goalie since the age of 7.    I am now a full time Tier I starter and I am playing for the North York Storm U22 Jr  since the spring of 2020.  In my U17 Tier1(MAA) season, I faced 1004 shots in 25 games with a 4.28GAA and a .893 and 1 shutout.  Statistically it wasn't a great season, but I did learn a lot about adversity and my mental toughness.  For my U14 Tier1,  (2018/19) I faced  986 shots in 29 games.  I had a 2.13 GAA, .937 Sv% and 6 shout outs. (2017/18) we had an almost perfect year winning 5 out of 6 tournaments we entered. On top of that we won silver in our league play, and were Provincial gold champions. The team finished the season with a 69W-6L-7T record and I myself went 34W-4L-1T. This included a perfect record in the Provincial play downs as well as me being in net for the gold medal game.
     I feel everything I have learned up to this point in my hockey career has made me a stronger more confident goalie. I've learned the value of leadership, commitment, as well as the mind set of what it takes to win. I continue to show these traits on and off the ice in both athletics and academics.  The passion, integrity and team values that the sport of hockey has added to my life is second to none, and I truly aspire to meet my dreams of continuing that at the collegiate level.       I would love to be at a school that both fits me, as well as me fitting with them, allowing me to reach my academic goals with the bonus of being a part of top level athletics.
     I know with my natural leadership, strong personality, and drive to always improve, I would be an excellent fit on any team.
