Dear coaches,
My name is Maya Caceros and I've been playing hockey for seven years, ever since then it has been my greatest passion. Throughout my career, I've experienced many losses and wins as well as a provincial champion title. From my many years of hockey, I've learned that leadership and team play is the key to success.
For my collegiate goals, I've always dreamed of playing for an IVY, however, with my many campus trips to St-Lawrence University and Clarkson University, I've now realized those are the teams I wish to play for. As for my hometown, Canada, I also dreamed of playing for the University of Queens, the University of Conn, and many more brilliant Canadian schools.
What sets me apart from other amazing goaltenders and candidates is that I am very hardworking, throughout my many ice times, I've worked endlessly hard to make the most out of the practice and take the time to learn new skills from my previous mistakes. In addition to ice time and hockey, I make it a priority to focus on school and my grades with an average of 85 out of 100, one English award, and one physical education award.
I sincerely hope you will consider me in your decision-making process as my love for hockey, my personal drive, and my academic success make me a good candidate.
