Bonjour from Canada!!
I started playing box lacrosse when I was 11, and really enjoyed the sport. I was introduced to field lacrosse 5 years ago, and immediately fell in love with the sport! Field lacrosse became the sport that I wanted to pursue in post secondary.
I have excellent stick skills and can use both my dominant and non-dominant hand in any type of situation on the field. I am a natural when it comes to seeing the play develop, and can feed the ball to my teammates for a shot on net or a timely goal. I am a patient attacker that can read the play, cut at the opportune time in order to create space or receive a pass. I work hard in all my games, practices and off field sessions. I am a team player who makes sure everyone is included on and off the field. I lead by example; when I make a mistake, I own it, reflect on it, and correct it. I stay positive and encourage everyone on my team to do and be the best.
I come from a family of four. Both my mom and dad played on high level sports team. My mom played field hockey for University of Alberta for five years and also played on Canada’s national team, participating at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the 1999 Pan Am Games. My dad played ice hockey for University of Alberta as well; from 1989-1993 he played in the Canadian Junior Hockey League. Therefore, they know what it takes to set goals and succeed at high level sports. Both my parents are high school teachers. We have all put a lot of time, money and effort into my lacrosse since my goal is to play NCAA lacrosse.
My academics are extremely important to me. As a result of focus , hard work, and dedication to my studies, I am sitting at a 4.0 GPA. I speak English and French fluently. My ultimate career goal is to become an Athletic therapist. I am looking at studying human performance and exercise science for my undergraduate degree.
Fun fact about me is that I am an artist. In my down time, I love to draw, paint, and sketch.
