Ashley Mayer '22 Recruiting Profile

I have played many sports in the past, all ranging from softball to swimming. Four years ago I could never imagine saying I would be playing lacrosse and absolutely love it. The funny thing is, the start of lacrosse career was forced by my dad. He played in high school and loved it. He wanted me to feel the same passion he felt when he was my age. So after many hours of pleading me to just try it, I did, and I have loved it ever since. Not only do I love the sport, but lacrosse has brought a community of athletes, new faces, classmates, that I can call my family. I stick out from the other lacrosse players because lacrosse drives me to work harder, be a better teammate, and growing young adult. I switch into another person when I play. The adrenaline, speed, strength are all of the skills I have but never could use properly until I started playing lacrosse.
