I pride myself to be a good leader. Playing lacrosse has taught me how to work with a lot of people with different ideas about how we can play the best and win. When I am playing defense, my job is to protect the goalie and to prevent the ball from going into the net. I have learned not to get frustrated or to panic, since I do not play as well when I am in that mode. When I am playing attack, my job is to score. I have learned to take a moment to calm down and focus on what I need to do to be a better player and team leader. Being a good leader and teammate can encourage others to play their best and meet their goals.
I am a leader in many aspects of my life, not just lacrosse. I have been a girl scout since I was 5 years old and was class president of my middle school and freshman class. I know how to work with all kinds of people to accomplish our goal. I am a team player, and I am tough. I aspire to study psychology and criminal justice, hopefully leading to a job in the FBI, which will require that I use my leadership skills.
