Growing up I've always been an athlete. I grew up around the lax environment, my brother played for a good chunk of my childhood and I was always intrigued by the boys game, so I had to give girls lax a try. I first joined a lax team my 7th grade year and fell in love with it, but unfortunately had to choice between 2 sports. My first year of high school I came out to play lax again and after my first game playing with JV, the head varsity coach pulled me up to varsity as a permanent player. After to school season ended I didn't want to take a break so I joined a club/travel team that my brother was previously apart of. I plan to finish out this season of summer ball, play with my club for fall ball, and continue with my high school team in the spring. I plan on doing this all throughout my high school career. I wanted to stay connected to my other activities so I joined the dance team at my high school. I joined at the beginning of the school year as a new quiet freshman and by the end of the year I was choreographing for my team. My dance coach said that she saw how I took the leader ship role and stepped up to the plate, so she made me co-captin for my sophomore-senior years. I am joining this program because I am hoping that it will help me get recognized so I can play lax in college, and go to an amazing school where I can get the education I aspire to have. While I did just finish my freshman year, I will not stop working hard to reach my goals, both acedemicly and physical, on and off the field.
