Jennifer Austin '23 Recruiting Profile

A three legged stool is a strong piece of furniture; it does not wobble. Each leg depends on the strength of the others to function properly. The first leg: the lacrosse program as a whole. The second leg: the university. The third leg: me. 

In an effort to support the lacrosse program and the university, I will contribute my athletic ability, my commitment, my hard work and leadership, and above all my effort. I have a strong devotion to making the lacrosse team the best it can be. I am looking for a program that returns this same energy. I am seeking a team that supports me, pushes me to my highest potential, and pushes me to work harder than I’ve ever done before. Pushing everyone through the lows, celebrating the highs. 

As another leg in the stool, the university is a big contributor to the success of the program and myself as a player and student. I can confidently offer leadership not only on the field, but in the classroom. Being an active role model and a self-motivated scholar are just some of the traits I’ll carry into my university experience. With that said, I hope the strength of the university will provide me with similar support. I’m seeking a school with engaging, motivated faculty and a positive student body to surround myself with and thrive beside. I have a strong dedication to my university, my team, and myself and I’m looking for a place to reciprocate that commitment.
