My name is Carina LaBonte and I attend the Ethel Walker School, in Simsbury Connecticut. I am currently a junior and will graduate in 2016. I made the varsity high school lacrosse team as a freshman and sophomore. I was one of three freshman to make the varsity team, and was a starter my sophomore year. I am a very diverse player and have played all positions. As a sophomore I was chosen to play in the NEPSWLA All Star Game 2014. I have been playing with The Team Real lacrosse club team for the past five years. Last summer we made it to the semi finals at the Battle of the Capital in Albany New York, and unfortunately lost in over time. I train all year long in the gym, preparing for the lacrosse season. In previous years I have worked with personal trainers to improve my speed, agility and strength. I have worked extremely hard to increase my speed so I am able to out run players on the opposing team. I am looking for a college that will challenge me both on the lacrosse field and in the classroom. I aspire to be a part of a hard working, and successful lacrosse team. I want to be at a college with individuals who share similar interests with me. I am hoping to major in exercise science throughout my college career, and if not exercise science than something similar to that. I am a very determined player and I will do anything for my team. I am looking at all different divisions and I am keeping my options open, in order to find the perfect school and team for me.
