In college, I want to be able to play lacrosse and go into a major in the sports field. I believe I'm a good candidate for any team because I always go 100% and leave everything I have on the field, whether it's during practice or games. I differ from other recruits in character because I'm the type of person that will always be there to help my teammates through any situation and I'm also the person that's known to make any and everyone laugh. All of the coaches I've come in contact with have said that I am one of the most coachable players they have ever had. Being a goalkeeper is hard. This past summer, I was able to attend Bill Pilat's Goalie School. Almost all the girls that I talked to had similar stories, they were either thrown into the position by their coach or they stepped up when they're team needed a goalie. With me, I stepped up to be my teams goalie when our goalie left during the season of my sophomore year. I was determined to be the best I could be for the team and for myself. In the athletics category, I'm different from the others because I catch on quick to different plays, I have a vast understanding of the game, and when it comes to being in cage, I'm quick on my feet, but this year I plan on getting quicker. When it comes to academics, I am just your basic student. I've challenged myself by taking all honors classes, except in math. I always try to do the best I can in school.
A wise man once told me that if there's something you truly desire to do, don't let anyone tell you you can't do it and always prove the negative people wrong. There's always going to be someone that is smarter than me or more athletic than me, but I know that no one will ever find someone who is as passionate, dedicated, and committed to the sport and position as I am.
