Position: 2025 Defense & Midfield - Faceguard Specialist
MY STORY:
Since I can remember, I’ve been drawn to sports. I was introduced to gymnastics at age two and continued with competitive gymnastics from age six to fourteen. This would involve practicing 16 to 22 hours per week. During the last few years of competition, I made the state championships, was the state champion for my level/age in the Vault, and placed in the top 10 in at least one other event. I also made the regional competition twice in the last two years of my gymnastics career and placed in at least one event at the regional competition (gymnasts from eight states compete).
In seventh grade, I became interested in lacrosse from hearing a friend talk about the sport and went to a clinic sponsored by my town’s recreation league. I knew I had found my new sport.
One of the things that I love most about lacrosse is the team aspect. I like when everyone works together and gets close as teammates on and off the field. I feel that in that way, everyone on the team is equally important. I also love competition and the chance to compete against other talented teams.
I feel like I can be counted on to be a leader on a team. I consider every correction when I get feedback and work to improve myself and encourage other teammates. I feel that it is important to be positive and motivate others.
I believe that my speed and hustle make me stand out as a player. I am gritty and put in the work during practice and games. I always give 100%.
Through lacrosse, I have learned what a true sense of team is to me. I’ve also learned that to become better at something, you need to give your all every day, whether it is a game or practice. You always have to focus on improvement.
My academic goals in high school are to remain on the Principal’s Honor Roll, become a member of the National Honor Society and take one or two Advanced Placement classes each year. As a college major, I am interested in business, marketing, entrepreneurship, and the sciences.
