Hey Coaches!
My name is Marissa Oldham from Evansville, Indiana. I attend North High School and will be graduating 2023. My love for lacrosse started back in 6th grade when I practiced and participated in games with the North High School girls. During conditioning season, I broke my arm. Even with a broken arm, I was determined to condition and practice working on throwing one handed and learning the game to get better. I started off playing defense but have played attack for the last 5 years and have loved the transition! Outside of lacrosse, I have been dancing since I was five years old. I have gained discipline, respect, strength, mobility and coordination which has helped me tremendously with lacrosse.
When thinking about my future after college, I have had many occupations that have peeked my interest. I am currently undecided, but leaning towards the Health Occupation field. My plan is to continue working hard my junior and senior year to keep my GPA at 3.5 or above and focusing more on my major.
When I’m not playing lacrosse or dancing, I enjoy traveling with my family, watching lacrosse film, working on stick and foot work skills, and hanging out with friends. I hope to grow my confidence even more this year, get quicker on the field, and grow my relationships and trust with my teammates. I greatly appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you!
Marissa Oldham
