Family has been a significant influence on who I am today. My parents have pushed me to want to achieve more now so life will be easier in the future. My friend introduced me to lacrosse and from the first practice I knew it was something I wanted to continue playing. After talking with my coach, she had suggested I try being a goalie because I had four years experience being a catcher for softball. I loved being a goalie which gave me the drive to work my hardest. I have learned that being goalie is just as much about your mentality as it is the muscle memory. Positive mental attitude as well as the drive to work hard is what helps gain saves.
