Personal Statement
I love playing lacrosse and I have a keen love of academic study. I love the United States and would be so happy to complete college education there and make a full and positive contribution to college life and athletics.
I have been engaged in lacrosse since the age of 9 and played at a high level despite being outside the school lacrosse system. I have been selected for county squads as well as selected into the English Lacrosse Talent Pathway programme. I have attended England Lacrosse camp every summer with the exception of 2018, when I travelled to the US to take part in two lacrosse summer camps. I wish to develop myself as a player and strong female athlete as well as a student. Ultimately I would wish to have the privilege and honour to represent my country at full international level. My intermediate goal is to represent a school at the Rathbone National Schools Lacrosse Championships. This is a tournament that I have never been able to compete in as my school does not offer lacrosse as a sport.
I play to excel and win, but also for the joy of competing and the friendship and bonding with my team-mates. I love lacrosse as a positive, competitive team sport.
