Personal Statement
Hi, I’m Ruby! I am a fast, scrappy, and, determined lacrosse player. I have played lacrosse for 7 years and I play Midfield. I am a long-distance runner and I find it benefits my game as I can see the quarters out until the last siren.
I go to St Michael Grammer, a private top-tier Anglican school in the heart of Melbourne, Australia, I was awarded the 75% scholarship for Academic Excellence and Extracurricular Pursuits to attend there in 2021 when I was 12 years old!
I would love to go to a school where I could play the highest level of lacrosse, and earn an amazing education as I value that immensely. I aspire to work in museums in archeology, dating historical objects, and designing showcases where they would be admired.
My lacrosse idol is Holly Schleicher, I have loved watching her play for years and take her approach as a ‘groundball magnet’ to every game. I like to go hard for every ball that hits the deck, my coaches dub me 'The true Stanley knife' and 'Energiser bunny' as they can play me everywhere that's anywhere across the field and I will succeed in it.
I am passionate and dedicated to my sport, and lacrosse allows me to let loose my speed, competitiveness, and team mindset. I love that lacrosse allows me to work in a team and community where I can learn, make connections, and grow as a person, not just physically, but mentally as well!
