I know that my college years will be the best years for my personal growth. My academic goal is to major in Orthodontics and minor in Biology. On the field, I plan to continue growing as a dynamic goalie and influencing the team as a positive leader.
Currently, I play for Ankeny Thunder Boys and Girls and the first Iowa traveling team, the Mavericks. I also fill in as goalie for the West Des Moines Tigers when they do not have enough players for tournaments. I believe that I can benefit both physically and mentally each time I play and I try to take advantage of every chance I get.
I set a goal for myself this year to be the best goalie for not only the team but myself and I was successful, as I achieved All Conference Goalie. I try to surround myself with teammates that I can have a positive influence on as well as they can have on me. I love healthy competition with not only other teams but also my own teammates. I believe that it makes us all strive harder to be better on the field and then walk off the field communicating ways to be better and leave as friends.
What makes me different from other goalies is that I have a strong willingness to learn from my coaches, teammates, other players and my mistakes. Plus, I will always bring an uplifting positive influence to the field and my teammates.
