I have signed my National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play at Liberty University in the Fall of 2014.
I have grown up in a lacrosse oriented family. My grandfather was an All-American at the Naval Academy, my father played at the University of Delaware and Professional Indoor for 4 years, my sister, currently, is playing at Liberty University and my cousin will be playing at Liberty in the Fall of 2013. We moved to Kansas when I was in first grade. My family and I were disappointed to find out there was no lacrosse in Kansas except for one area-wide high school team. When given the chance, I practiced with this team for 5 years. Once in 6th grade, my father and Joe Vasta, 3rd NCAA Leading Scorer, started a youth and high school lacrosse program in the area. I began playing on one of the youth teams my 6th grade year. As an 8th grader, I was a starter and key contributor for our school district JV high school team and played second line attack/midfield on our Varsity high school team at attack and midfield. My whole high school career, I was a starter and key contributor for our Varsity team. I made Captain my junior and senior year and helped lead our team to their third Metro Championship. I also received the honors of First Team All-American my junior year. I have a passion for the sport of lacrosse and I enjoy learning the sport from several different perspectives. As a player, I challenge myself regularly to grow in my skills by attending camps and clinics. As a coach, I assistant coached a 7th/8th grade youth team and became a certified official for youth games. It is my desire to play collegiate lacrosse at the highest level I am capable. I am confident in my stick skills, skillful with both hands, knowledgeable of the game, coachable, a team player and I have excellent field sense and vision. I am a hard worker and I wish to be a part of a team that works just as hard. Even though I live in Kansas, I am originally from Virginia and have family back east; therefore, I am looking at schools on the East coast. At this point, I am considering pursuing a business degree in college.
