2011 Season Highl...Personal Statement
I am from Leawood, Kansas. I'm a senior at Blue Valley High School and play Attack for my school's district team. During the fall, I compete with KC Orange Elite. At the President's Cup in the fall of 2011, our team was undefeated posting a 4-0 record. I've been playing lacrosse since I was 14. Lacrosse is tremendously growing sport in Kansas. In 2009, coaches in the area chose 20 players from 4 teams to travel out to Vail to participate in the Vail Shootout. I was one of the Attackmen chosen for the tournament. In May 2011, I traveled to a try out in St. Louis for the WDNT Tournament and made the team. There were about 60 girls at the tryout and they kept 20. I have a real passion for lacrosse, I love the game and I love to watch it and play it. It is so interesting to me and it truly is one of the greatest sports out there. It has always been my dream to play a sport in college and when lacrosse was introduced to the Kansas City area I knew that was what I wanted to do. Right now, I am interested in East Coast schools but am open to any lacrosse school in the country. I would love to play at any division level, I, II or III. After college, I would love to become a reporter or a PR Agent. Journalism is one of my main strengths in school. I am looking for a school that will give me a high level of competition and playing time.
