Hi Coach,

My name is Lauren Spiers, and I am a Senior at Henry Clay  High School and attending Bluegrass Community Technical College in Lexington Kentucky. My Mother, Father has instilled in me my Family's core values: loyalty, honesty, and commitment.

My family is one of the most important parts of my life, and as a maturing teenager, I am thankful for all the support and opportunities they have provided for me. They have always encouraged me to do my best in athletic activities and educational studies. My Mom and Dad are always close by to listen and provide mature support. My family is my rock that I can always count on.

Honesty is an important core value of mine and I have my Grandma to thank for that. She helps me to understand the importance of this with the people and friends I surround myself with. I have many friends who I am close to and those friendships are built on trust and honesty.

Commitment is another core value of mine and I show that through my determination in achieving high marks in School while participating in year-round Girls Lacrosse. I play on the Henry Clay Girls Lacrosse Team and Bluegrass Bandits Club Travel Teams in Lexington.

I started my athletic career as a gymnast, practicing 16 hours a week for 5 years and reached level 7 by the age of 13. In middle school, I participated on the Cheer and Cross-Country teams before falling in love with Lacrosse in Grade 8. I discovered that I really enjoyed being part of a team sport and share my enthusiasm and love of the game with my Lacrosse teammates. I am a serious but positive athletic player which comes from my gymnastic experience. I enjoy practicing at home with my Dad who early on, helped me to develop my love and passion for Lacrosse. I am super focused, competitive, and always strive to do my best and be a positive representative of my school, my parents, and my own high expectations of myself.  

I am a dedicated hardworking and honest student. It is important to me to submit all my assignments on time and stay organized, as I have to balance my commitment to school, time with my friends, Lacrosse teammates, and my family. (and my Cat) I particularly like Science and Math and am looking forward to continuing along this path in my postsecondary studies at University.
