My name is Kathryn Moore and I play lacrosse at Atherton High School in Louisville, Kentucky. I became a multi-sport athlete in middle school, joining the field hockey and lacrosse teams in 6th grade. Once I started high school, I earned a starting offensive position on the varsity field hockey team as well as the Freshman and JV lacrosse teams. In the past school year, I have been able to represent my school with the 2021 Field Hockey Regional All-Tournament Team, the 2021 KHSFHCA Junior All Stars team, and the 2022 Underclassmen All Stars lacrosse team. I have also had the amazing opportunity to represent the state of Kentucky by participating in the US Lacrosse National Tournament earlier this summer in Maryland. Having been a multi-sport athlete for almost seven years, I know the physical and mental work and dedication it takes to pull off a successful season and I am always looking to improve my skill at practice and at home. Outside of sports, I am involved in the arts, academics, and service. I have played the violin for seven years and I love music, painting, and drawing. In school, I take college-level courses in the AP and International Baccalaureate programs, including AP US History, AP Psychology, IB Literature, and IB Applications and Interpretations. I have high expectations for my academic career, wanting to pursue psychology with a focus on criminology. I have also taken on many service projects, such as making and donation blankets to the Kentucky Humane Society and volunteering at sports events. I hope to continue to pursue these passions further in college and possibly afterwards.
