Personal Statement

Hello! My name is Jazzmin, I am a current sophomore playing for the varsity lacrosse team at Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Maryland. During my first year playing, our team won regionals, even despite not having the best support system from coaches, and despite not having a big team. We made it work with the 14 of us, and won regionals. This is my second year playing the sport and I have found that I’ve become passionate about lacrosse. Growing up, I’ve always been able to work in a team setting, and I love encouraging my teammates to be the best version of themselves and to keep pushing no matter what happens.  I enjoy being a student athlete but I care a lot about maintaining my grades, and overall I am a 3.5 Student.
