"Great moments are born from great opportunity" - Herb Brooks. This is a quote from the movie Miracle that I put to use often. This has taught me that your team is what helps you make those opportunities into great moments; not one individual person.
I decided to play lacrosse in 5th grade instead of waterskiing. I fell in love with the game of lacrosse the minute my father put a stick in my hand. I learned very quickly which allowed me to play travel with athletes much older than myself. I was determined to become the best I could be for myself, my team, my school and my coaches. Fast forward to now as a Junior and you would see a well-equipped athlete who has played Varsity lacrosse since my Freshman year. I spend countless hours both on and off the field training. I not only work daily on my game, but also on my body and mind to be a well-rounded athlete.
My dream is to go to college and pursue the game of lacrosse. I have a very high lacrosse IQ : good decision making, see the field well, good team communication, and strong leader ship skills. I am a motivator and want to make those around me better. I am self-driven and thrive on constructive feedback from my coaches to continually improve my skills to new levels. I have been recognized as the one who gives 200% in all aspects of my life: school, sports, work and extracurricular. My positive attitude, competitive spirit and passion for lacrosse help to keep fueling my fire and love for the sport.
I am a multi-sport athlete playing varsity lacrosse and golf along with basketball. I am on the presidential honor roll and a member of the National Honors Society with a 3.99 GPA. I am a member of the SALT team (Spring Lake Athletics Leadership) as well as participated in the OK Conference Leadership Summit. I would like to study Sports Management or be an Athletic Director. In my free time, I would like to become a lacrosse coach. Some of my hobbies are snowboarding, hanging out with friends, shopping, and baking.
I am looking for the best "fit" for college. I want to challenge myself both athletically and academically. I am open to the option that allows me to play the highest level possible for my abilities. I am determined to work as hard as it takes to better myself every day and not quit there. Overall, I strive to be the best human being: daughter, sibling, friend, classmate, teammate, leader. I want to make those around me proud.
