My collegiate goal is to obtain my PHD to become a physiatrist at the VA. I want to help veterans improve their mental health. My mom is a 100 percent disabled veteran along with my dad who served for 27 years and recently retired. I first hand see how the military can affect individuals, and if there is a way I can contribute to improve the level of self efficacy for these veterans I am going to. Especially to make my mom proud who is my biggest fan from school to sports, or even bringing me food to work to make my day easier. She is my number one supporter so as much as this is for me she will be along with me the entire way.
I am also a wrestler for Hastings highschool being a pioneer for the first girls team which is a huge part of my life the past two years and next two coming. From a young age though lacrosse has been my favorite thing, I love the game. I love being a teammate. My coaches and teammates have also expressed that I am an enthusiastic player who will play anywhere on the field and build relationships with all the people around me. To me it is just as important to have just as much love as determination and work ethic to get to your fullest potential.
