My current plan is to pursue a degree in Exercise Science or Pre-Physical Therapy and play lacrosse competitively. I am a junior at Exeter High School in Exeter, NH. Academically, I have an improving unweighted GPA of 3.08, and I have been consistently enrolled in college prep and honors level courses. I am currently enrolled in AP Psychology for my junior year as well as honors level math. I achieved the scholar athlete award during my sophomore varsity lacrosse season, achieving a GPA of 3.5 during the lacrosse season. Additionally, in my sophomore year I was elected vice president of Interact Club (youth program affiliated with Rotary). This club focuses on volunteering in the community by completing a stuff-a-bus food drive, portraying elves at the local holiday festival, and selling apples to support the scholarship fund.
Lacrosse has been a part of my life since I was nine years old. My sophomore year I became a starting defender on my varsity lacrosse team. This was my first experience playing against and alongside Division I and II recruits. My team had great leaders who requested a lot from each of their teammates, and this required me to push myself and consistently improve throughout the season. I have also played club for Lighthouse Lacrosse for the past five years. I play both defense and midfield and love the opportunity to learn from different teammates. My Lighthouse team is very competitive in every tournament, but winning is not the goal. This program is about developing each athlete’s capabilities.
I feel that I have a lot to offer to the right program. I am a supportive and positive teammate who works for the benefit of the team and not oneself. My speed and game awareness will allow me to have a positive impact on the team I play for. I am looking forward to this next opportunity.
