My name is Kennedy Munster and I would love to continue my lacrosse and academic career in college! During the past years playing my favorite sport, I have learned to become dedicated, hard working, coachable, and competitive. I push myself to the best of my ability and I'm always looking for ways to improve and become even better.
In 4th grade I decided it was time for a change. After playing soccer since kindergarten, I wanted to try something new and chose to play lacrosse. I played on one of the first girls lacrosse teams in my town and since then, the program has grown tremendously. My current team at Allentown High School is highly competitive with players committed to schools such as Maryland, Rutgers, and Penn State. This past year we even made it to our division state championship! Other than my high school team, I play with my club team, Garden State Elite, and have been with them since 5th grade.
Something that sets me apart from the average recruit is my speed and coachability. My freshmen year when I first ran the mile for field hockey, I had a mile time of 5:54 (the best time amongst my teammates). My stride is great on fast breaks and allows me to beat my defenders. I am always open to advice from my coaches and trying out new techniques. I am also a great team player. With high lacrosse IQ, I'm always looking out for my teammates by feeding them the ball or cutting into open space to make that impact play. I also love encouraging and helping them to do their best on and off the field.
In school I am considered a well rounded student with mostly A's and high B's while taking both honors and AP courses. I am part of several community based clubs in my school and I am a volunteer coach at my former recreational lacrosse program.
Since the moment I played my first game, I already had ambitions of continuing the sport and I knew this was the dream that I wanted to pursue. I automatically fell in love with the competitiveness and intensity of the game. My goal is to play lacrosse at a school where I can contribute to the success of my team while receiving a great education.
