My name is Ella O'Brien and I am a junior at Ramapo HS in Northern New Jersey. I have been playing lax for nine years including Varsity this past season at Ramapo. In addition, I am playing for the premier team of Mad Dog NJ North during the current fall season.
My strongest athletic attributes are my combination of size and speed, paired with an ability to read the field and create opportunities for my team. Having constantly been on the field in lacrosse, soccer, and basketball for eight+ seasons has made me comfortable and adaptable in any situation. I have always had a reputation for having quick hands, positioned as an offensive player with defensive instincts. I can create with or without the ball; as a scorer or a passer, or by creating turnovers in the offensive zone earning my team additional possessions.
In addition to athletics I am a volunteer for the Relay for Life organization and I volunteer at my local hospital. I am an excellent student and my efforts in the classroom equal my efforts on the field. Recently, I was chosen to partake in a European trip to Scandinavia this summer through my high schools honors World Civilization class.
My coaches would tell you in any sport I am a team player, ready and willing to help my team in any way I can. I am a leader. I am committed to my sport and will always take the time to learn and improve.
