My name is Makayla Crawford and my goals are to be a student-athlete, who can manage her education along with her athletic career. I believe that I am a good candidate for any team, because I work well with others, I take criticism to heart and keep working to make myself better. The difference between other athletes and myself, is that I refuse to back down. No matter how hard it gets, I practice and try my hardest to exceed, and reach my goals.
My aspirations in life is to find a field of study in college, and make the best out of it. I am determined to finish what I start, and hope that the field of study that I choose will lead me to a steady life of success. Not only do I strive for excellence for myself, but I do it for my family, who has put a gracious amount of time and effort into making me the person that I am today. Without my parents guiding me along the way, I would not have made it this far, and soon I would like to give back to them by getting into a great college and doing what I love the most, playing lacrosse.
I also try hard to balance my social life with my academic and athletic career. Not only do I strive for excellence on the field, but I love to find ways to unite people in a peaceful and diverse manner. My favorite extracurricular activity, is including myself in diversity workshops that make you think about ways to develop a safe environment for everyone to live in, and better themselves. This is one of my main focuses when it comes to receiving community service, and overall making the world a better place.
