Personal Statement

I am a competitive female athlete. I work hard, train hard, and love lacrosse! I play Female Box Lacrosse for Nova Scotia on the both the Midget and Junior girl's provincial teams, and have gone to Nationals the past four years. This year I was team Captain for Team NS Midget Girls team. I have been top scorer on my provincial team and was awarded game MVP. I play Club Female Box Lacrosse for the Halifax Hurricanes. Box lacrosse really helps my field lacrosse game because it trains you how to manoeuvre in tight places and it is a faster a more aggressive game with a shot clock. At Box Nationals in Calgary  I was scouted by Furman a NCAA Div 1 university. I was also scouted this year in Ottawa playing for Junior

I love field lacrosse. In Nova Scotia we play box lacrosse in the Spring and Summer and field lacrosse in the fall. Last year I was Captain of my Field team and I play for the NS Elite travel team. In 2015 webplayed in the New England Fall Showcase and I was noticed by several coaches, who commented on my ability to get to the net, and my stick handling. My trip to the States is what prompted me to join NCSA because it is my goal to go to university in the States and play lacrosse

I love to run, and this year it was my goal to run faster. Last fall I joined my school's cross country team and came 5th at the Halifax Regional Meet. This spring I decided to try track and field. In my first meet, the Halifax Regional Track and Field Meet I came first in the 800m, 2nd in the 3000, and 3rd in the 400m. I love training, and in the off season I train twice a week in the FLIGHT program with my personal trainer and coach KJ MacNeil

I started coaching this year, I was the Assistant Coach for The Hurricanes Peewee Girls, we were league champions and we won the provincial title. I also have my Officiating certificate for field and box lacrosse. I want to learn and know as much about the game as possible.

All of my coaches would say I am a team player. I get along with most people, and I enjoy the leadership role of being captain. I am on power play and penalty kill lines in box lacrosse. I like to win!

I am a leader, a teammate, and a friend.
