Although I'm considered small (5'3, 120 pounds), I make up for it in my will to succeed and aggressiveness on the field. My speed allows me to quickly race down the field before defenders have the chance to catch up.
This upcoming school year (2012-2013), my highschool is finally accepting lacrosse as a school sport. We have 5 consecutive state titles in the club division(2008-2012) and we hope to be successful while playing in division II this season.
My team's success comes from a lot of preseason conditioning, long practices and of course great coaching. During our season we play D1 and D2 schools so that when we do enter the playoffs we are more than prepared to face the opposing teams with the greatest amount of force.
As an athelete my success comes from always being early to practice, staying after for extra work and spending extra time outside of practice working with teamates to improve my skills. Since the day I started lacrosse my coaches have been extremely encouraging by helping me work to play lacrosse at the next level.
In addition to playing lacrosse, I participate in honors and AP course work and I'm active in Student Council, National Honors Society and work 25-30 hours a week.
I cannot imagine only playing lacrosse competatively for merely one more year and hope to pursue to sport further by playing in college.
I aspire to become a Journalist, favorably in sports since sports have always laid a heavy impact on my life.
I strive to be the best but more importantly i yearn to leave an impact on my team.
