My primary goal for college is to put myself in the best position possible to realize my dream of becoming a doctor and playing lacrosse. I feel that they actually compliment each other. Being a goalie helps me to realize the value of team work and perseverance. Studying pre-med will sharpen my ability to succeed under pressure and to be an overcomer. These traits have served me well in high school where I have maintained between a 3.8- 4.2 gpa throughout my 3 years under a rigorous schedule, all the while playing varsity lacrosse at the highest level in Ohio and being a leader in Marching Band. I look forward to developing these further in college.
My sophomore season was my first on varsity, I recorded 101 saves and a 50% save percentage and a 8.4 gaa. I want my future team to have full confidence in me in that moment; that penalty shot , a risky clear and as a leader of the defense. Many have stated that I am fearless in goal, attacking the shot and showing no fear. I'm eager to challenge the shooter but with quick hands and feet can quickly adjust to the shot or a cutter. Another intangible quality I posses is my ability to remain calm in all situations. If I get scored on, I shake it off and use it to push me forward and learn what I could have done differently.
I’m confident that I can bring academic excellence, and a coachable attitude to the next level.
