My name is Patty Gannon and I am currently a starting rising junior playing midfield for Hathaway Brown in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to my High School lacrosse experience I also play midfield for the Midwestern Force Lacrosse Club based in Columbus, Ohio.
As a multi-sport athlete, I also am a setter playing varsity volleyball for my school team and playing club volleyball for Academy Volleyball Club. Lacrosse is my first passion. As a freshman, I played on the varsity lacrosse team that went to the State Semi-Finals. As a sophomore on the varsity lacrosse team, I started midfield every game along with taking the draw. I am currently in my fourth year participating on the Midwestern Force Lacrosse Club Team. Being a part of this team, we travel across the country competing in national tournaments.
Academically I pursue a rigorous schedule and am targeting computer science and business as potential majors at the collegiate level. In addition to my academic work, I also participate in volunteer work with Achievement Center for Children. Through this program, I work with mentally and physically challenges children and adults by assisting and coaching a sports program. I consider myself a strong leader on and off the field, and I am 100% committed to all my teams and am very hardworking.
My ideal college experience includes pursuing a challenging major, playing lacrosse and involving myself in the community through volunteer work. While education is the most important part of my time in college, my love of lacrosse and the team atmosphere is a very important aspect of my overall college experience.
