Although I am young, I know I want to play Lacrosse as long as I can. I started playing the sport when I was 9 and have loved it ever since. I was involved in Swimming, Dance and Karate before I found Lacrosse. Once I fell in love with Lacrosse I dropped Swimming & Dance and focused on Lacrosse & Karate. I achieved my black belt when I was twelve and made Team Ontario when I was 13 and 14, two very proud achievements for me.
My goal is to go to a good school where I can study and play Lacrosse at a competitive level. I am interested in the Criminal, Forensic & Social Justice fields and one day hope to work in the Forensic field.
My high school academic career got hit with COVID. On line learning is a challenge but as the school makes changes to approach I am finding it a bit easier. In the past I have kept an A average and have goals to maintain this through high school. I am a very aware student and when needed I ask for the help I need to ensure I do not fall behind. My two favourite subjects are Math and Science. In grade 8 I earned the Principals leadership education and sport award for Intermediate girls at Everest Academy
As an athlete I am always open to coaching and know its important to do what the coaches ask you to do. To date I play for 4 teams, with 4 different coaching styles and can adapt to them all. My role on the team normally changes depending on who I am playing with and that is fine for me. With COVID hitting Toronto, ON Canada hard the opportunities to play lacrosse have been cancelled until recently. I was happy to be on the field with my club team and have been doing the local development lax opportunities as well. Boarder is still difficult to cross and I hope to do some US camps soon!
