I have always dreamt of becoming a veterinarian or pursuing a career in that field of study. That being said, I have become interested in getting my four-year undergraduate in biology and then continuing onto veterinary medicine school. Of course, I hope to make my post-secondary experience the best it can be by becoming involved and in touch with what the campus has to offer. I think the social part of education is equally as important as the learning, as you will not learn as much if you do not have anyone to share your knowledge with. By becoming a part of a school lacrosse team, this will create a family-like atmosphere throughout the college years, building a social group in which everyone can help each other out or know that someone is always willing to listen.
As a defender, I bring my loud communication; which is very important is the success of stopping the opponent, I bring my tenacity and my constant strive to never give up on a loose ball, or getting back fast enough to help my goalie. I constantly work to keep my academics as high as possible, as I have always been taught by my parents that without school, I cannot play lacrosse; that being said I always work hard personally so I do not have to let my team down. I also am a certified lacrosse referee, extending my love and knowledge for the game one step further.
In terms of character, I try to always look at the positive sides, and always have a bit of humour to ease stressful situations, however I do know when it is time to be serious and to focus. I am always willing to help , especially in terms of my teammates as I view every team as a chain, and if one link falls, the rest will collapse, meaning you must always keep everyones spirits high.
