I am an academically solid, community minded, three sport athlete looking to play lacrosse in college. As an athlete, I am fast, have a quick first step, aggressive, coachable and a natural leader. I have quick striking ability and strong placement My favorite spots are 5th hole and top shelf. I can also use both hands equally. I believe all my basketball training and previous sports/training have helped me excel on the lacrosse field.
Naturally academics come first, so I am looking for a very strong program in either a Sports Science area such as Athletic Training, Exercise Psy. and / or Coaching. I may even eventually see myself as an Athletic Director. But I do have a desire, early in my career, to be more hands on. I really enjoy working with other kids to help them improve their skills. I have very good field IQ and can explain plays easily to others.
Community and volunteering have also been a big part of my life. Going to ASP last year was a life changing event for me. Not only did I get to help rebuild a family's house but we made a lasting impression on each other's lives. I had kidney surgery when I was seven years old, so this lead me, with the help of my parents, to implement a holiday gift giving drive to the local hospital where I stayed over a Christmas holiday.
Playing sports is not only a part of who I am but sports allow me to become who I am meant to be both in the classroom and in life. Sports have always been and will always be a part of me which is why my goal is to incorporate sports into my lifetime career.
