My name is Ava DeMutis and I am a sophomore at Phoenixville Area High School where I play Varsity Tennis and Lacrosse! I have been playing lacrosse since 1st grade and have two older sisters who also grew up around sports and have pushed me to be the best I can on and off the field. I love the team aspect of lacrosse and even more love the defensive side of it. Keeping my grades up is very important to me, and I want good academics to be a big part of the college that I choose. Along with playing lacrosse for my school, I am also in Varsity Club and Morgan Message. I spend a lot of my free time trying to help others, for example, this past summer I went on a mission trip to West Virginia with my church to help those living in poverty, and have been volunteering as a camp counselor for my church every summer since 5th grade. I would like to play collegiate lacrosse at the highest level I can and study at the highest level I can. Positive peer pressure allows all of one's peers to achieve their personal greatest and I pride myself in surrounding myself with friends that push me to be my best every day!
