I started playing lacrosse when one of my friends, who is now playing at Radford, told me I should start. When I joined, my team was running low on goalies, so I decided that I would try it out. I had played goalie in soccer and catcher in softball, so I figured that I could easily adjust to the position. It took me a few months, but I ended up falling in love with the position. 6th and 7th grade were just years where I was learning about the game and started improving, but then 8th grade year was when I really took off. During this year, I ended up helping my team get to the finals in the Tennessee State Middle School Tournament. We did not end up winning, but it was one of my best games ever. During my freshman year, I started varsity and we ended up finishing 10-6, with big wins coming against Castle of Indiana and Houston of Tennessee.
After having played for many different sports teams across many different sports, I know what it takes to be a leader. It is always my goal to give my best whether it is during practice or during games. During my freshman year, I had a 4.11 GPA and through the first nine weeks of my sophomore year, I have all A's. My hope when I play in college is to be able to come in right away and help the team. I have always put the needs of my team above my own. I also want to play to the best of my ability and win the championship for whichever team I play for.
