Hi, my name is Holly Chase. I am a starting 2027 from Independence High School Varsity Lacrosse team in Thompsons Station, TN. I am currently playing Attack/Defense for my team.
I played lacrosse for 4 years in Long Island, NY before moving to Tennessee. I started playing on defense for my town PAL (Police Athletic League) Team "Shylax (South Huntington Youth Lacrosse" where over 3 seasons I have predominately played as a Midfielder rotating with the defense and attack. in 2022 our team finished the season in 2nd place and in 2023 we won our division over Cold Spring harbor after losing to them 2 weeks prior 11-4. I started playing travel lacrosse in 6th grade with FLG "For the Love of the Game" out of Huntington, NY. I started on defense but, predominately played as a middie and taking the draws. We travelled to various tournaments throughout the Northeast. During my 7th and 8th grade years I played on three teams which also included my middle school team. Since moving to Tennessee in July 2023 I tried out and made the 2027 TNLax team where I will be playing Midfield and Attack. We just started our High School season taking draws and playing attack and I have been working with a trainer to continue my strength, injury prevention, agility and speed training at Carbon Fitness. Fitness is a very key part of my life for personal reasons and to be the best at my sport.
I have attended a lot of clinics with Kylie Ohlmiller (KO17, Mackenzie Burns, Marie McCool) where I learned a lot about the sport, women in sports and how to stay healthy. Also the work ethic that goes into becoming a better player by some of the best in the sport. I dedicate time to training on my own with my rebounder, wall ball and working on my shots. I am dedicated to my academics along with extracurricular activities. I hustle on the field and try to be a leader in practices and games by lifting up those around me by cheering the great plays and hustle or if there is a mistake getting them back into the game. Lacrosse has truly become an important part of my life and I hope to continue my academic and athletic career.
Thank you for your time.
