My name is Reilly Templeton and I am 5’6 130 lb. freshman lacrosse player. I attend Obra D. Tompkins highschool in Katy, TX. I have been playing lacrosse for 4 years and I play for a local lacrosse team in Katy, the Katy Lady Cavaliers. During the 2017 season with the Cavaliers I lead my team at midfield to a 2nd place finish in the Greater Houston Girls Lacrosse Association championship game. In the next season in 2018 I lead my team back to the championship game this time bringing home the win. Following the championship ship win I won midfielder of the year for my team for the 2018 season. At my highschool I also run track competing in the 200 meter and the 400 meter races. I am a 4.0 strait A student and take my academics extremely seriously. I stay focused on the field and off the field. During the end of my 8th grade school year immediately following the 2018 lacrosse season I was faced with a major setback, I had just made the Houston national lacrosse team and during the second practice I tore my ACL on May 13, 2018. I had ACL repair surgery on June 8, 2018 and am nearing the end of my recovery process. Through my recovery process I have found a love for sports medicine and sports physical therapy which are careers I wish to pursue in college. I plan on devoting my 2019 summer on preparing for more national team tryouts this August. I have put so much time and hard work into my recovery and I am anxious to get back on the field. I’ve learned more about myself in these past 8 months than I ever could have imagined and am excited to take all that I’ve learned and turn it to success on the field.
