I started playing lacrosse in 4th grade when my sister introduced me to the game. Lacrosse has taught me how to cope when confronted with challenges, how to overcome loss, and how to commit fully to something. I have learned so much about having good character and how to be a leader in every situation I am put in. I love to be faced with a challenge whether academically or athletically.
Coaches from around the state named me 1st Team All-State my Freshman year, which ranked me in the top 5 midfielders in the state of Utah. I also made the Utah Mamaci Elite team as freshman and was thrust into playing at a very high level with experienced, older girls. I was a Varsity Starter my freshman year and led the team in goals and draw controls. I was asked my sophomore year to be a Team Captain.
I played soccer, volleyball, and basketball, throughout junior high and was fortunate enough to be captain on all three teams. I also lead my basketball team to win the State Championship my Freshman year. That was a very fulfilling accomplishment because we had to overcome several challenges along the way.
I come from a very athletic family, with my grandfather being a professional boxer for 16 years and being the American Middleweight Champion as well as fighting for the World Title, so I know what it means to fight for something!
