The moment you realized you just made the winning goal that takes your team to the conference tournament as a first year freshman. Having never played lacrosse before, the feeling of success proves hard work pays off.
I am Mallory Trimble from Chesterfield, Virginia. I am currently enrolled at Manchester High School in the class of 2020. My first year, I started as a Midfielder on my high school Junior Varsity Lacrosse team. A month later I was pulled up to play on Varsity as a starter at midfield. This is my second year on the Varsity team as a starting midfielder. I am fortunate to be a Student Athlete and also play Field Hockey on my High School JV team and again was pulled up to Varsity my first year as well. I also play in door Lacrosse and travel Softball.
I fell in love with lacrosse my freshman year. Although I spend most of my time at midfield, I have played other positions in an effort to understand the whole field and positioning to increase my versatility and skill. I am a very competitive person that thrives on hard work, dedication, commitment, positive attitude and team work. I stay committed and like to be challenged. You have to work hard to be successful.
During the season, off season and my free time I run, practice drills, skills, speed and agility training and conditioning year round. Nutrition and health are also very important to me and I follow a healthy diet for overall fitness.
I also dedicate a lot of time to my studies. My school work is the number one priority and comes first. I have to work hard for my grades. I am a good student but not a good test taker and therefor have to really get creative when I study. Dedication to my school work translates to the field. I have learned valuable time management skills while participating in multiple sports.
As I mentioned above, I am very competitive, and I am also a teammate. We win together, we lose together, we train together to get better and help each other, we push each other, we celebrate each other….Team is family! I believe there is always room for improvement, you learn something new every day and I am thankful for the great coaching role models to help me along the way.
I welcome the opportunity to talk with you more about your program and what I could bring to your team. I am confident that my passion, dedication and skill would be a positive addition.
