Before I ever played lacrosse, I would attend the games that my friends played in. Ever since I watched them play, I became so interested in the sport of lacrosse. The summer before my freshman year I finally decided to pick up a stick and try it out for myself. Immediately I fell in love, and knew that I needed to tryout for my High School team. I made the JV team my freshman year, and learned so much from my coaches and team mates. After playing in my first season, I knew that this was the sport for me and that I wanted to continue playing for as long as possible.
Lacrosse has tought me how to truly work as a team and grow as a team. I’ve learned that I can achieve anything as long as I put in the work for it. Lacrosse has become such a big part of my life, which is why I want to continue playing it at a collegiate level after high school. My education is just as important to me as lacrosse, I believe that playing at a college that is known for being challenging academically with a lacrosse team that is equally as challenging would be a perfect fit for me. These two together would allow me to grow immensely as a student and an athlete.
