Ever since I was a a very young child, my life has been sculpted by sports. This gave me a competitive outlook on every outlet of my life, always seeking to better myself and increase my knowledge. Complementary to this, I was raised in a military family, frequently moving across the country, teaching me how to adapt quickly and make connections and relationships with people.
When I began playing lacrosse in sixth grade, I truly found myself. This game has given me a way to use my competitiveness and teamwork oriented mindset more than the previous sports that I have played in the past. When I began playing defense, I have learned that I have a rather calculated and analytical mindset when I play, using it to think through the possible situations and figuring out how I will deal with them.
I have learned and improved most when in high pressure situations and when faced with a challenge that I must overcome. I am constantly using what I have learned over the years and applying them to my day to day life in order to become a better person and athlete. I am seeking out a college and program that will challenge me academically and athletically. I believe I not only have the athletic ability and knowledge to play at the collegiate level, but the dedication and motivation to be a leader on and off the field.
