I've always had a passion for helping animals and there was never any doubt that I wanted my future career to revolve around them, and ever since watching Dolphin Tale, I knew that I wanted to be a marine biologist. I hope to find a school that will not only help me accomplish my dream, but also allow me to compete as a collegiate rower. I haven't been rowing for long, having only discovered the sport this past fall, but as soon as I took my first stroke, I was convinced this was the sport for me! Since having started, I've competed in several regattas and won a medal at my second race. I always make sure to give every race everything I have, striving to make sure that each stroke is better than the last!
I've always been competitive, both with myself and others. It doesn't matter what the task is; I always give it my all and accept no less than the best, constantly working towards improving my time. I continue this attitude through to my education as well, studying and maintaining high grades: nothing less than an A! At races, regardless of how tough they get, I never give up and keep pushing through until I reach the finish line...giving up just isn't in my nature!
