My goal in college is to find a great school that will challenge me and make give me the experiences and lessons to make an impact after college. I take academics seriously and always strive to be the best I can be. I am planning on majoring in Business. I hope to go to a college where I can be involved in the campus culture through sports, clubs, groups and campus events.
I love sports and have played sports my whole life. I recently took up rowing and have fallen in love with it. I think the reason I enjoy rowing and can be a good teammate is that I love the challenge rowing requires to overcome pain and push myself physically. I have sustained a few injuries playing sports and have always come back stronger because of my work ethic and determination. I am very competitive and always push myself to be my best. I enjoy team sports and understand that it is important to make those around you better. As a goalie in soccer I know the importance of keeping my teammates positive and having fun while pushing to be our best. I also try to lead by example pushing myself to give my best at every practice. I think my ability to deal with pain is a big advantage as I have learned to power through it, and not let it slow me down. I also like to have fun with my teammates, the best teams seem to be having fun.
I feel that by being involved in sports, choir, and clubs while pushing myself academically has taught me how to manage my time effectively so that I can take on several activities while maintaining my academic goals. I am excited to take on the challenge of college and all it has to offer.
