Hi! My name is Massey Willis. I'm a 17 year old Junior (upcoming senior) attending Palisades Charter High School. I row out of Marina Del Rey, Los Angeles California for an all girls program called RowLa. I am a lightweight who switches between port and starboard. I first learned how to scull and my program goes back and forth between sculling and sweeping. I started rowing with my program for a summer in 2019 and 2020 as just summer camps. I had previously played water polo for 4 years prior. I fell in love with the sport of rowing and later that year around August of 2020 I then moved up to the varsity team. Rowing has taught me how to be a good teammate, friend, and leader. No matter what might be going on juggling school, family and sports I do and will always give my full effort at practices, races, and most importantly for my team, on and off the water. I have fallen in love with the sport of rowing and have big ambitions to one day make it on to a university team to hopefully leave an impact and continue my rowing journey.
